17 Ultra Cute Flower Girls and Ring Bearers

For most weddings, the most adorable – and unpredictable – part of the wedding processional is when the youngest and cutest wedding attendants—the ring bearer and flower girl— stroll down the aisle.

The flower girl follows behind the bridesmaids typically with a basket of flowers, scattering the flowers down the aisle.

Then comes the ring bearer, carrying the wedding rings up to the wedding officiant, best man and maid of honor.

One way to make your flower girl feel like she is a special part of your wedding ceremony is to twist the flower girl basket tradition a bit by giving the basket of petals a rest and having your flower girl carry an adorable flower girl basket alternative that’s equally pretty but more fun and whimsical.

Another way to make her feel special this Spring is to have her beautifully attired in one of the many Gorgeous Flower Girl Dresses available today, or in some high-fashion flower girls attire or one of these 22 Flower Girl Outfits for Country Weddings.

Normally, instead of the ring bearer carrying the real wedding rings the young ring bearer carries imitation rings (we wonder why!), as the best man is carrying the real wedding rings for safekeeping. In either case, the rings are typically tied down with ribbon or sewn to the wedding ring pillow. So, the wedding ring bearer pillow is a long-standing tradition, and we have previously posted a wonderful DIY tutorial for creating a beautiful ring bearer pillow.

Recently, many brides have transformed the role of the young ring bearer.  In addition to, or instead of, carrying the wedding rings, ring bearers are now being used by brides to send a last minute message to their grooms as we showcased in Wedding Ring Bearer Trends: Signs Instead of Pillows.

For inspiration on how to outfit your flower girl and ring bearer, check out these 17 ultra cute flower girls and ring bearers, reblogged from the knot:

Sometimes it’s hard for the kids at a wedding not to steal the show—especially in the pictures. They just know the perfect pouty face to put on for the camera, or they’re simply wearing the cutest tutu of all time.
